Statewide Safety Training & Construction Management Expo aims to create an injury free workplace in which all workers are sent home safe at day’s end. Only proper tools and equipment, along with the required safety training and education, can help to accomplish that goal. Expo planners believe that in this time of economic challenges, companies should have access to the least expensive and most professional training available.

SacExpo.com – About Us
The Sacramento Builders’ Exchange was established in 1901 when a group of local builders (long before licensed contractors) formed an association for the purpose of discussing common problems and exchanging ideas relating to their crafts. At that time the organization was incorporated as the Builders Association of Sacramento County. The original association has developed into one of the largest and most active Builders’ Exchanges in the Western United States and is recognized as one of the leading organizations representing the overall construction industry in Northern California.
James E. Lambert joined the Sacramento Builders Exchange over twenty years ago and currently serves as SBE Executive Vice President. Lambert, along with a group of dedicated staff members and, a governing board consisting of SBE members, is dedicated to providing services to SBE members and the industry at large. As a regional non-profit association located in Sacramento with auxiliary offices in Roseville serving Placer County and El Dorado Hills serving El Dorado County, SBE offers a comprehensive in-house and, online plan room. Other services include comprehensive training/education. Further, the SBE Governmental Affairs Program provides member organizations with an effective voice at the local government level in Sacramento, Yolo and El Dorado Counties. We actively engage in public advocacy, public and member awareness, and fiscal support of pro-builder candidates and measures. SBE also provides members with a wide range of insurance services.
In 1987, the Sacramento Builders Exchange introduced a High School Design Build Competition. This event is designed to introduce and encourage young people to consider pursuing a career in the construction industry. Because of the success of these education programs Mr. Lambert went on to form the Construction Industry Education Foundation (CIEF) which has contributed over $200,000 to local education in the past few years.
Troubled by the number of worker injuries, Lambert expanded existing SBE safety services by creating a dedicated safety and health council In 2004. The council includes SBE members along with representatives from Cal/OSHA and the insurance industry. In 2005, the SBE safety council introduced the Pacific Builders Safety and Construction Management Expo. The Pacific Builders Safety and Construction Management Expo is a three day event and offer’s over 60 different classes, workshops and includes a trade show. Attendee’s are given unlimited access to every class and provided access to all three days. What makes The Pacific Builders Safety and Construction Management Expo different from other events is the cost to attend. Registration fees are a fraction the cost compared to traditional training providers. Our goal was to provide quality training and education to everyone at an affordable price.
SacExpo.com – Presenters

It is important to note that each and every presenter/instructor volunteers his or her time and is not paid for their services. While many of our instructors provide training as a source of income and own consulting and training companies, each recognizes the importance of our event and volunteers his/her time.
Our presenters and instructors are highly qualified individuals who come from both the private and public sector. Each has demonstrated a strong knowledge base of the subject matter and coupled with years of proven training experience, is welcome to represent our event.
We truly appreciate the commitment from all of our presenters and trainers. After completing a session or class, we would ask that you take a moment to recognize and thank these presenters for volunteering their time. Further, should you or your company have a need for additional training throughout the year, we would ask that you consider choosing one of Expo’s presenters/trainers listed in the program.
